Justin Timberlake Considered to Host the 2009 Oscar

Bosses at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences were left so impressed with Justin Timberlake’s laugh out loud hijinks as the Master of Ceremonies for ESPN’s 2008 ESPY Awards, they’re convinced the Grammy-winning former boy bander can save the next Academy Awards from the event’s recent succession of sagging ratings. “They think Justin can reel in young viewers and make the show much more exciting,” an Academy snitch reveals to the National Enquirer. “Justin’s more than a singer-he’s a song-and-dance man…Justin does it all and he knows how to work a star-studded audience. Our first question was, Can we get him?” So far, the chances of seeing Justin at the 2009 Oscars looks promising. Justin loves the idea, the tabloid writes. Oscar heads have also reached out to Emmy-nominated comedienne Tina Fey, who could take over hosting duties on Oscar night if talks fall through with the notoriously temperamental Timberlake.
